Acting childish during a remodel?

Written By: Kathy Price-Robinson - Jul• 21•09

Kids_remodel I don't mean to make fun of these adorable children dressed up like adults. Really I don't. They're precious.

But this image got me thinking about what happens when people involved in a remodel — homeowners, designer, contractor, craftsmen — act like children. Is that not frustrating?
So what kinds of childish behaviors are there?

For inspiration, I looked at the postings on Answerbag.com in response to this question:

What forms of childish behaviors annoy you the most?

Here are some of the responses:

• Bullying
• Over-competitiveness
• Bad losers
• Name calling
• Excessive attention-getting behavior
• Selfishness
• Crybaby
• Throwing fits and tantrums
• Doesn't listen to sound advice

For all our projects, leaving behind childish behaviors and embracing adult behaviors — logical, rational, disciplined, compassionate — will make the experience much less stressful.
